New Fiat 500 Hey Google range unveiled

Fiat introduces new Hey Google technology to the 500, 500X and 500L models

  • Available across the 500, 500X and 500L models
  • Adds unique exterior and interior trim to each model
  • Every model includes a Nest Hub for home use

The new Fiat 500 range of ‘Hey Google’ special edition models has been unveiled. There are Hey Google versions of the 500 hatchback and convertible, the 500X SUV and 500L MPV.

All models get Hey Google voice assistant technology, meaning that drivers can interact with their cars using Hey Google voice commands. The technology also includes remote functionality, meaning owners can check on their cars from anywhere by saying “Hey Google, ask my Fiat,” giving access to data such as the mileage driven, fuel level, or the car’s location.

The service can also send a notification to the owner’s phone if it detects the car has been stolen or if it’s being driven over the speed limit.

Every model in the 500 Hey Google range gets unique exterior trim with a gloss black painted roof and matching mirror caps. Elsewhere, Google badging is featured on the front wing and central door pillars.

Inside, all models feature a matt silver dashboard insert and white ‘500’ logo, as well as model-specific seats featuring the colours of the Google logo. Every version also has Fiat’s seven-inch ‘Uconnect’ touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

All models also come with a welcome kit, which includes a Nest Hub device for the home and a key cover.

The Fiat 500X Hey Google gets a long equipment list, with 16-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass. Inside, a soft-touch steering wheel, adjustable-height drivers and a front armrest are fitted. Rear parking sensors and automatic lights and wipers are also standard. A total of seven paint finishes are available.

Two petrol engines can be specced: a 118bhp 1.0-litre and a more powerful 1.5-litre producing 148bhp. For higher mileage drivers, the diesel range consists of a 94bhp 1.3-litre and a range-topping 128bhp 1.6-litre engine. The range starts from £20,764 for the entry-level petrol model.
