Citroen has added a new Urban Ride trim level to the C1 range, which will be available in the UK from May 2021
- Model-specific styling
- Powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine
- Prices start from £12,815
The new Citroen C1 Urban Ride model has been unveiled with a price tag of £12,815. It will join the existing Shine and Airscape Shine versions in a revised C1 range when it replaces the outgoing Sense model next month. Citroen has sold more than 175,000 examples of the C1 in the UK since launch.
Design and interior
The five-door C1 Urban Ride has 15-inch 'Comet' wheel trims, which sit within flared wheel arch extensions, and tinted windows. Available as standard in a 'Nude' paint colour, buyers have the option of personalising their C1 Urban Ride in a range of paint finishes, including Scarlet Red, Ural White, Calvi Blue and Caldera Black. An optional bi-tone Caldera Black roof is also available.
Inside, the cabin is finished in a grey fabric with a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob. Buyers can also enjoy a host of entertainment services through the seven-inch touchscreen, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engines and pricing
As you’d expect with a city car, Citroen’s focus is on making the C1 cheap to run rather than powerful. All models of the C1 are powered by a 71bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which is mated to a manual five-speed gearbox. This gets the car from 0-62mph in 14 seconds and returns an official economy figure of 58.9mpg, with CO2 emissions of 110g/km.
Prices for the new Citroen C1 Urban Ride start from £12,815, with the brand offering a five-year/100,000-mile warranty on all new models ordered through its online store. The new warranty offer follows the ‘Fair Pricing’ promise made by the brand last year, which introduced lower list prices as part of its ‘Advance UK’ plan.
